Stuffed Animals, Birds, Flowers, Pianos and Beer, Oh My!

Lillian has so many stuffed animals, I had to give her 'babies' their very own toy box!

We visited the lake on Friday and fed the birdies some bread. When I'd give Lillian a piece of bread to feed the ducks with, it would usually go right into her mouth instead (very cute!).

There were some beautiful daisy's that we just had to check out!

...and pick...

O'lay!

...and put into our mouths... Eeeeeeek!

Lillian's boyfriend, Nicholas, came over for a visit this weekend!  They showed off their piano skills in a marvelous duo!

Once I sat down to enjoy a nice cool O'douls, Lillian just HAD to have it!  She didn't quiet down until I gave her the bottle (empty of course).  She actually put the bottle up to her mouth and proceeded to enjoy the last little drops :)

Spring Storm!

We woke up to pouring rain this morning! This afternoon, we had a deafening marble sized hailstorm as well!  Wow, what a storm!  Lillian enjoyed watching it from the slider :)

Grandpa and Grandma Hill Come To Visit!

Lillian and I went to the park to feed and watch the ducks and geese last Wednesday right before Grandpa Stan's arrival!

Thursday, Grandpa Stan, Lillian and I went to Kindermusik, browsed through Barnes and Knoble, went out to lunch, had some Peete's Coffee, and took a scenic drive through the hills!  This photo was taken at the Livermore Library!

"Mine now!"

Grandpa Stan and Grandma Sandy walking Lillian

Fly'n at the park!

Cute cheeks!  Nice lips!

O.K., so Grandma Sandy didn't like how high Lillian was going, but she absolutely loved it!  My baby a thrill seeker! I wonder where she gets it... :)

Yeeehaaaaa!

Lillian and Grandpa Stan!

Lillian and her mom (me!)

Lillian absolutely loves her grandparents!

Weeeeee!

Thanks for the gifts!

Park N' Ride!

We went to the park last Friday to soak in some sunshine before the big storm.  In this photo, Lillian is watching some bigger kids on the playground.

It didn't take long before she was off the blanket and on the lawn exploring.  She found several dry leaves and enjoyed the sounds they made when she crushed them with her hands (oh, and yes, I prevented many a leaf from going right into her mouth!).

The was a real hit with the big kids!

On an adventure!

We drove to Oakland on Saturday to help Ellen celebrate her 55th birthday!  This photo was taken along the way.

Supposed To Be Asleep!

I put her down for a nap this afternoon, but about ten minutes later... she was sitting up, playing with her stuffed animal and as happy as can be!  I guess she wasn't that tired after all :)

Crawling and Standing Up!

On Easter Sunday, Lillian crawled for the first time!  To our surprise, she also began pulling herself up to a standing position!

This morning, after quickly turning over her toy and book baskets, she made a B-line toward the magazine stack...

...yanked on some power cords...

...pushed some buttons on the DVD player...

... and pulled out Daddy's puzzles!!  This all happened in under five minutes!! Now that she's crawling, Lillian is really investigating her surroundings and, oh-my-goodness, keeping mom on her toes!!  I went around today and removed all of the baby hazards I could find (magazines, puzzles, telescope, painting isle, etc.).  Yikes!! I'm gunna need to tackle the bookshelves too...!!

This afternoon, she was the little explorer again and went to investigate the sliding glass doors.  I nearly fell over when she bumped into it with her head thinking she could crawl through!  Once she figured out she couldn't get through it, she started touching and banging on the glass, "What is this??"

She quickly found her daddy's running shoes and put one hand in each (don't worry, I washed her hands afterwards).

The curtains were a real hit!

A Big Butterfly Balloon!

"I wonder what this tastes like...?"

"Like a balloon!"

I may be small now, but I'll be big someday!

"I love you Daddy!"

Book Worm!

We have a basket in the living room full of some of her baby books.  She often scoots over to the basket and pulls out her favorite ones to play with!

This is a fun game!

This morning, I was so happy to see her select the "Meet A Park Ranger" book (one of my favorites!).
