Carson Valley Candy Dance Weekend!

We went on down to the Genoa Candy Dance Saturday afternoon and had a total blast looking at all of the amazing arts and crafts people brought had brought to display and sell from all over the country!  Lillian enjoyed her grandparents and navigating through the large crowds of people.  There was a lot to see, but Lillian seemed to be the main attraction :)

On Sunday, Lillian and I enjoyed visiting with Auntie Nina!  We first went to Starbucks where we ran into our old high school secretary and her grandchildren who played with and entertained Lillian while we ordered our morning tea and pumpkin spice latte's!  Soon after, we drove to the local park where we fed the ducks (one of Lillian's favorite things to do!), and played on the playground.  Lillian enjoyed her Auntie Nina so much!  Lillian is getting to be such a big girl that she led us to the things she wanted to play on and it always involved playing with her Auntie Nina :)

Riding a really cool looking bug!  Weeeeeeee!

Higher, Auntie Nina, higher!!

Later that afternoon, I checked on how my husband was doing and tracked him down in the desert where he was looking for meteorites and terrestrial minerals of all sorts.

Could this be a meteorite?? Naaaaaaahhhhhh, it's a leave-or-rite-there!   ha-ha-ha-ha!

Monterey Bay Aquarium

Sunday, we went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium with our friends the Ruoss'.  Jeff (shaved head guy :) ), Emily (pretty brunet), Olivia (adorable little blond) and Camilla (hiding in her Babybijourn) are exploring the interactive tide pool exhibit.

Lillian and Camilla during a staring contest.  Camilla tried hard to make Lillian laugh by making funny faces!

hahahahahahahah! O.K., you win Camilla!

Olivia, Lillian, Camilla and Jeff hang'n out and taking a rest at the Portola Cafe.

'Can I take them home, Mommy, PLEASE!!!'

Awesome....

'Higher, Daddy, higher!'

'What's next???!"

A beautiful Sea Dragon!

Cute little sea horses!

'Wow, there are, like, twenty little sea dragons in there!'

A colorful coral reef!

'Look! Olivia, look at the pretty fishies!'

'O.K., so do I like jelly fish, or sea horses more... I don't know, they're all so amazing!'

'Turtles!!!!!!'

Wow... that turtle got so close, Lillian was knocked off her feet!

Here come some more!

Mommy made a pledge to buy local produce!

Daddy made a pledge to reduce, reuse and recycle!

What an awesome day!  The kids are all settled in their car seats and ready for the trip home!

A Fun Weekend!

We spent some quality time cuddling on the couch Saturday morning before starting our big road trip adventure.

About five hours later, we were up in beautiful Lake Tahoe visiting our buddies!  This is a picture of Nicolas and Lillian playing in the water together.

Brrrrrrrrr!! That was cold!

he-he-he-he-he!!!

'All right, let's start the engine and start moving some furniture!"

Watching fisherman at a pond near an Apple Hill orchard.

Daddy pointed out an inchworm.  "Fascinating!"

Lillian sporting her new fairy wings!

Don't fly too far!

After an afternoon of rock hounding, we loaded up in our trusty Subaru and headed back down the hill... wow, what a fun weekend!  No wonder we're all so tuckered!!  Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Picky Eater, Coffee Date, Ducks and Zzzzzzzz...

After her nap, I got her all set up in her highchair with some macaroni and cheese and a rice and peas dish to try and satisfy her toddler appetite.  As a typical picky toddler, she'll eat great one day and show little interest in food the next.  Today was one of those, "Let's play instead!" days.

Grrrrrrrrr!

Before driving to the butcher shop in Guistine, we stopped at our favorite cafe for some tea and a story :)

Where did those ducks go??

Oh!  There they are!

Food?  Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Playing With Dirt!

On our morning walk, Lillian stopped, oh, about every ten feet and played with the dirt.  The 400 yards of dirt road took about a half hour to walk, but that's o.k. cuz our little toddler definitely enjoyed herself!

"Where's the mud?"  -it will be here very soon :)

Thursday's Are Fun!

Right after her shower :)

We stopped at the Livermore Library today and checked out a few books (Blackboard Bear, The Baby Book by Dr. Sears, and a Mommy & Baby Yoga DVD).  After the library visit, we decided to explore a bike path nearby that we had always wondered about.  This photo was taken at the first little park we came to along the way.  Lillian couldn't wait to get out of her stroller!  Weeeeeeeeeee!

"I like this park!"

Our journey continued through the neighborhood near the library.  We came upon another inviting park and spent some time looking up at cedar trees, picking up bark, pulling up grass and walking... errr... running about!

Cheese!!
