Baby James!

My little heartbreaker! O.K., so I was noticing that we had too few photos of Baby James on the blog site so far... It's not that he doesn't have cute moments, he does!! It's just a matter of logistics with the camera... and if he's awake or not... or if he's on the boob, or not... or if the camera is in my hand... or not... you know, logistics! It's necessary to say though that he's been smiling ever since he was born and it's something that just melts our hearts!! He smiles all the time, even when he sleeps. Today, he gave me this, "I know who you are! You're mommy!" smiles that just took my breath away... Today, I was finally able to convert the crib over to 'James motif' because his big sister has accepted her toddler bed (five nights in a row! Woooohoooo!) leaving the crib available for decoration (he'll be in the bassinet for another couple of months though...). So, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to get some mug shots of him in his 'new' crib. Unfortunately, he didn't do any of his cute little gummy grins (camera shy?), but this one was pretty darn cute!
I try to imagine what he'll look like when he's older... I'm thinking tall... no... very tall... like his uncle Sean. So far it's blue eyes and dark, to a strawberry blond... Cute ears, perfect little lips and a nose that is ohhhh so cute! Well, ladies, eat your heart out!
Body shot with a flash...
Body shot without a flash!
We LOVE you like the birds love the wind, James, and we couldn't be more proud of you!

Gym and Stretches!

Lillian has gotten really good on the bars and can now, with the instructors help, bring her legs up to the bar!
Hang'n from the bars! The instructor was impressed with how strong she's gotten!

While Lillian and I were at the gym, James and Daddy watched part of The Godfather and Top Shot... truly man-typical :)

Lillian and Library Story-Time!

Miss Sandi reads the children a book about clouds!

Lillian and the other children (and Mommies) sing and clap to a musical tune!

Miss Sandi tells another story about the different cloud shapes you will find in the sky!

A Visit From Grandma and Grandpa Hopkins!

Vroom, vroom! Lillian does laps around the island in her fire engine! She's wearing one of the dresses Grandma Cynthia made her for her birthday! Very pretty!

Kick'n back! James, wearing the sweater Grandma Cynthia made him, sits back in his swing!

Grrrrrrrrr! Power nap!!

Lillian and Grandpa Tom watch a little Sesame Street together!

Grandma Cynthia and James!

Mommy and Lillian eating the yummy breakfast Grandma made us!

What a big boy at 1 1/2 months old!

Lillian watches a video of a Dragon Dance on Grandma's phone. She was totally captivated! Infact, whenever she needed a distraction, all Grandma had to do was take out her phone and play that video and Lillian became calm and transfixed! I think we'll have to go to the City and take in one of these Chinese New Year events!!

Snowy February Days!

O.K. Grandmas, don't worry, we were watching out for traffic :) In fact, the only traffic we encountered the whole time we were at the summit of Del Puerto were a bunch of crazy cylists and another Subaru, who was sight seeing too :)

Daddy's snowman!

Go Daddy, go Daddy!

Brrrrrrrrrrrrr! Lillian touches snow for the first time!

Perfect snowball throwing form!

Lillian waves and says "Hi!" to the crazy cyclists!

"Look at my snowman, Daddy!"

My super sexy husband!

"Let's have more snowy days, Mommy!"

"Hoot, hoot! "
James was asleep and warm in the car wearing his cozy bear suit that Auntie Nina gave him :)

Mobile Phone Uploads (they're small... apologies!)

James at three weeks old!

Waiting for Lillian!

All four of us went for a walk the other day. This toy car was in one of our neighbor's front porches, but with no understanding of ownership, Lillian hopped right in and took it for a spin! It took several minutes to coerce her to get out... actually we had to physically remove her, which wasn't a quiet effort :) We were worried our neighbor would hear us and be confused by all the commotion, but apparently, no one was home (thank goodness)!

Vrrrroooom... vrrrroooom!!!
