Delightful October Days!

We stopped at the library on Wed. to take in some story time, drop off some books and pick up some new ones.  Afterwards, when we left the cool air-conditioned building, we were shocked at how warm it had gotten outside!  We stopped at a quant cafe and ordered a large lemonade to help us cool off :)

Daddy spent the greater part of the weekend building an A-frame swing set for our backyard!  Lillian is all smiles!

It was another warm one today!  We stopped at the Livermore fountains to cool off after mommy's dental appointment (yikes!).  Lillian was a total angel during the visit!

Sacramento Zoo & Fairy Town!

When we arrived at the zoo, it was pretty warm outside, so most of the animals were asleep in the shade.  When we found a little playground, we found that the stone animals were just as much fun!

"This hippo is, like, THIS big!"

"Where are the orangutans?" They were all huddled in a shady corner staying cool, but in an area where we could see nothing but the top of their backs... darn!

After about an hour of looking for animals at the zoo, we went across the street to Fairy Town where we went exploring!  "What's in there...?"

"Oh my goodness!  It's the Nights of the Round Table!"

After visiting with royalty, We went back outside where Lillian made a B-line to the dance party that was being played out on the stage!

She became the center of one boys attention!

Grandpa Oli!

Lillian and I drove up to Willows on Wednesday to visit Grandpa Oli who was admitted to the hospital uncharacteristically.  Normally, grandpa is as healthy as an ox, so the fact that he was in the hospital worried us a great deal.  This photo was taken at Carl's Junior.  About halfway there, we both got a little hungary and decided to stop at a restaurant to refuel with a yummy 'green  burrito.'    

When we arrived at the hospital, grandpa was in good spirits, but definitely week from what was ailing him.  In this photo, from left to right, -great grandpa Oli, his pastor, grandpa Stan, Lillian and uncle Rod. We drove home the next day only after we were confident he was going to be o.k.  You'll be back on your feet before you know it, grandpa Oli!
